Motivational Monday

To say I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today would be a complete understatement. I have the Monday blues, and bad! I desperately need to shake out of this funk, and I'm hoping some coffee will do the trick!


Frankly, right now, I can't even imagine coming home from work and working out. My sofa is already calling to me to come and snuggle up on it.


I know when I come home I will workout, but I am going to do what I feel. I know that by skipping a run will just worsen my mood, and that could be dangerous!


I have been running a lot and want to throw something new into the mix. Enter yoga and abs. I am a lazy exerciser and when I am done with my cardio I tend to skip any extras. 


I have been doing one ten minute ab exercise everyday since I received my new DVD. It is only ten minutes, so even I can handle that. The workouts are awesome on it! I have like no ab strength, so I can feel every move for days after. There are five ten minute workout for you to choose from, which I love so I won't get bored with one workout, I totally recommend this DVD.


Finally, on Friday I received my yoga DVD. I started yoga in college and developed a love hate relationship with it. I think it is a great workout, but can be very painful. And painful it was with Jillian Michaels leading the workout. I could feel the burn! There are two 30 minute workouts on the DVD, one for beginners and one for intermediate yogis. I did the beginner workout for the first time yesterday, and I am in love! I hope to do this two to three times a week. 


So maybe today, if I am not feeling a run, I might do some yoga or nap.....we shall see!
