Simple, but Perfect

The hubby and I had very a nice Valentine's Day.
This year, we decided that we would not do presents. We figured that we went way over board on Christmas, so there was no need. Instead, we decided to go out for dinner.

Typically, during the week we don't see very much of each other. I must confess that during the work week we don't even usually eat dinner together. I know this isn't good, but my stomach WOULD eat itself if I had to wait until 7:30 to eat each night.

We went to Bonefish for dinner. Our meal was amazing! (If you haven't been to a Bonefish I highly recommend it!) And what was even better then then meal was the company and conversation.

Marriage is not easy. It is something that needs to be worked at everyday. I felt like we reconnected last night. I think sometimes the hubby and I get lost in the shuffle of everyday life and forget to make just a few moments a day for each other. There were no cell phones, TVs, computers, or friends and family at dinner. It was just the two of us, and it was perfect.

I love how something as simple as just dinner can make me so happy!

Love love love,

  1. i would say this is the perfect way to spend valentine's day. you're right, it's easy to get caught up in the "every day." it's almost necessary to designate a moment to spend together sans all the distractions. sometimes, the simple things are so much bigger and better :)

  2. adore the sentiment, I feel the same way about squishing my husband {and kids}! time alone, together, is the best thing ever, even if it's sitting on the couch watching a movie, right? right!

and, if you would share with me how you got the screen shot of your iPhone, i would squish you!
