Happy Friday!

Today I got to thinking.....I definitely take a lot of things around me for granted. I am healthy and loved, things in my life could be much worse! I think sometimes I spend to much time being upset about things that I don't have or can't do and don't appreciate the things around me that make me happy. I decided today to make a conscious effort to be more positive and appreciate what I have. There are many things in my life that make me happy, and today I made sure to enjoy them.

First, to start, today is Friday! Although the week was short due to all of the snow, I made it to the weekend. I don't have any fabulous plans this weekend, but I will enjoy some time off to myself.

Second, today is jean day!! By making a $1 donation to The National Kidney Foundation we are encouraged to wear jeans and a football jersey.
I decided instead of wearing a jersey I would wear my favorite Penn State hoodie. I love this hoodie because it it has sparkles on it! My hubby bought it for me on our last visit to State College. I love being comfortable and warm at work! Makes the day so much more enjoyable!

Third, when I went into the kitchen today my dear husband left a little treat for me.
He knew that I have been craving Cheese Itz, so he saved me some from a box he bought for work. What a great treat for a Friday! It made me smile not just getting to munch on a yummy snack, but also knowing that he was thinking of me. I think that made the Cheese Itz taste so much better.....if that's possible!

Fourth, leaving my apartment this morning, while it was FREEZING, there was a beautiful sunrise! I actually stopped to take it in. It was nice seeing the sky without white snow or ice falling from it!

Fifth, I ordered a bathing suit from Victoria Secret on Wednesday. It was on clearance and only was $23, WITH shipping!! When I checked my e-mail this morning I was so excited to see that it has already shipped!! I can't wait to get it! I just hope it fits!!
(That is the top, I ordered different bottoms)

Sixth, one of my biggest vices is reality TV. I just can't get enough of it, especially the Jersey Shore. I always DVR the new episodes on Thursday so I can watch them on Friday when I can really relax and enjoy. I couldn't wait to get home from work and indulge! It is like getting together with my friends each week. I must say, while Sammy and Ronnie's constant fighting is pretty annoying, this weeks episode was great! It is like a train wreck, you just cant take your eyes off of it!

Seventh, my husband is working until 7 tonight, but he is not going to the gym so we are having a Chinese dinner and movie night! I have been looking forward to this all day! I have already expressed how much I dislike eating dinner alone, so tonight I am so excited to get to spend some time together. He will be picking dinner up on his way home, so not only do I have a dinner date, I do not have to cook or clean up and I get to enjoy it all while being in my PJ's! Things just don't get better then this!

And last, my blog. I'm so grateful to my boring snow day, and my bestie suggesting I start one! I love having an outlet to express myself. Even if no one reads it, I enjoy getting my ideas and feeling out. I look forward to ending my day with my thoughts.

Now, I know I have only listed 8 things that have made me happy, but those are the things that stood out today! I decided not to add the obvious such as my wonderful husband, family, and friends because they make me happy everyday. It is the little things in life that need to be celebrated because they really do equal out to a big thing.

After today, I plan on appreciating my life more, especially all of the little blessings. I think this will help to make me feel so much happier and satisfied with my life. HAPPY WEEKEND!
