This summer has been just crazy, and I haven't had the time or energy to focus myself to make a post. With working, traveling, weddings, and moving, I haven't had much time for anything else.
This summer has been the quickest summer of my life, and for the fist time ever, I'm glad to see it go. I am so ready for the fall and blue jeans, boots, hoodies, soups and stews.
While this summer has been nuts....it was jam packed with many fun and exciting things.....
First.....the paint has dried and the hubby and I have officially moved and settled into our first home. We couldn't be happier with our purchase. Sometimes I sit on the upstairs sofa and just look around thinking "Man we sure got lucky, this house it totally us!" I couldn't picture myself anywhere else. It was a lot of work and painting and organizing, and we aren't completely done yet, but we are at a point that we can function in our everyday lives and just wait until we are ready for the next project. Our home is a work in progress, and I am completely content with that.

Second....weddings. We have six weddings this year, and three of them took place this summer. Some of our best friends and family have joined us in the married club. First was Courtney, she was married locally, and her wedding was the first of the many that I was in. She was an absolutely stunning bride and the whole weekend was filled with fun and new friends.
Yes....we did a dance to "Firework" by Katy Perry during the reception. |
The Myer's clan sure knows how to party. |
And the final wedding of the summer was our college friends Court and Fred. Their wedding was at the Union League in Philly. It was a beautiful wedding on a mild August day. Their wedding brought all of our college besties together to celebrate.
To celebrate we went out to dinner to the Apollo Grill in downtown Bethlehem on Saturday evening, and I attempted to recreate our wedding dinner, almond crusted chicken and potatoes, on Sunday. We used our toasting flutes and shared some champagne to help celebrate.
The best part of the summer was that I got to spend it with family and friends. It was nice having things planned and getting to see each other quite often.
I am looking forward to having a few days off before I head back to the old grind at work. I report on Friday for in-service and the kiddies return next Tuesday. I am not where I wanted to be at the point of the summer, career wise, but I am still trying to figure out my life's plan.
I am so ready for the new season to hopefully bring on some new changes. I am ready to celebrate growing a year older in September, and to celebrate the remaining three marriages of our friends and families.
Love, love, love!
