Around the house

Being a first time homeowner, something I have been looking forward to has been decorating my new home for the holidays. With Halloween kick starting the holiday season, I just had to be creative and spruce up the house just a bit. I had to do my decorating on a budget so everything was either gifted to me or I purchased for no more then $5! As I mentioned before, I just love my home, so I was inspired by Dream Book Design's post so I had to share some of my favorites.....
This is our dining room table centerpiece. The candle holder was passed down to me from my friend Courtney when she was purging her home goods and upgrading with something new. I filled it with gourds and leafs from the dollar store and cinnamon pine cones. I love cinnamon pine cones. They remind me of being a kid at my parent's house!
This is our fireplace. (Please TRY and ignore the wires spilling down the side, this is a work in progress!)
My mom purchases most of these little treats for my last year. I found the word art from Eighteen 25. There are different colors to print it out in, and I put it in a frame I already had. FREE, gotta love that! And the pumpkins were our place card holders from a recent wedding. I didn't know what to do with them, so I popped them in the vase, and I think they fit perfectly!
These little guys might be my favorites! They glow different colors, but the colors didn't photograph.
I love love love my spider. He was a dollar store find. My mom also bought the basket, I still need to find something to fill it with.
You can find these little friends on your way downstairs to our family room.
These guys are another great dollar store deal!
With our pumpkin welcome sign on the door, we are ready for the little witches, vampires, and goblins who come trick-or-treating on Friday. I can't wait!

Love love love,
