I have grown up Roman Catholic, and have always believed in my religion, but after being married, I feel that I have found my religion. When I was little I was always told how a relationship with God works, but now that I am an adult, I have found how MY relationship with God works. This is still a work in progress for me, but it is something that I truly believe in, and want in my life.
Typically for Lent, I don't give up much, I usually just follow the "no meat on Friday" rule. This year, I am going to use Lent as motivation. I will sacrifice and work on myself (and my bad habits).
For Lent this year, I still plan on not eating meat on Friday along with not eating an after work snack, and not eating chocolate, and not drinking soda during the work week.
The snack after work and the no chocolate are going to be the toughest. This sounds pathetic, but hopefully I will be able to do this and come out strong.
Are you giving up anything for Lent?
How do you stay strong during the Lenten Season?
A different "Motivational Monday" post, but I need motivation in all areas of my life, not just staying fit.
Have a great week!
