I don't know much about history....

I can't name all of the presidents of the United States nor do I know much about politics, but one thing I do know is that President's Day is a holiday. A holiday that I get to celebrate since I work in a public school. This year for President's Day the district had a nice long break, we got a four day weekend! I welcome anytime I get off from work, so needless to say, I was quite excited for the break.

Friday I spent relaxing and running some errands. I had a giftcard from Express that was burning a hole in my pocket and lucky for me they were having a great sale so I was able to purchase two fabulous tops.

I needed some new clothing because Saturday was a girls night!

The day started off by dress shopping for Allie's wedding. When we got to the bridal shop we were pretty sure what dresses we wanted. We quickly retreated to dressing rooms and put on quite the fashion show. While all the dresses we had picked out were cute, they just weren't the right.

The bride's mom pulled some dresses off the racks when one she was holding caught my eye. No matter what, I HAD to try it on. As I zipped up the back of the dress I fell IN love! Wow, never had a dress made me feel so spectacular! And thankfully, everyone agreed! We all knew that I HAD to wear that dress as I stood next to Allie, so the rest of the girls found dresses from the same designer.

All the dresses we picked out couldn't be more perfect! When the ladies who worked there brought out Allie's dress, we put ours next to it, and they were all picture perfect. We couldn't believe how well they all complemented her dress.

It goes without saying that Allie is going to be the most beautiful bride, but as her bridesmaids we will all be able to stand with our heads held high next to her.

Dress shopping only made me that much more excited for her September wedding and all of her festivities.

After dress shopping we had lunch then retreated back to Allie's apartment where we shared some snacks, drinks,  stories, and lots of laughs.
Toasting the bride-to-be

We went out on the town and did some serious dancing. It was a perfect day and decided that we needed days like this more often.

Sunday was spent relaxing and catching up on sleep.

Monday I scrubbed and organized the entire house, did three loads of laundry, went grocery shopping, and started organizing the office. I also finally watching Twilight:Breaking Dawn, and found out that even vampire weddings make me tear up.

This weekend was perfect and all though I know all good things must come to an end, I'm sad to have to head back to work today. I still have so much I could get done at home. There will never be enough hours in a day!

Next time I will have off from work will be for spring break right before Easter, I am already counting down the days!

Love love love,
